Rich Franz joined Spoor Bunch Franz in 2004, and became a partner in 2012. He is responsible for the firm’s accounting and advisory practice. Rich specializes in financial analysis for businesses and individuals, and providing clients with professional consultation services. Rich has served clients in a variety of industries during his career, with emphasis in manufacturing and distribution, technology, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit entities.
Prior to joining the Firm, Rich began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Tampa, serving clients in the area of financial assurance and advisory. As a graduate from the University of Florida, Rich completed his undergraduate work in 1999 and continued his education in Gainesville, completing graduate work in Accounting in 2000. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Active in his community, Rich has served roles such as Treasurer for American Stage Theater, member of the Arts Advisory Committee of the City of St. Petersburg, member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce finance committee, committee Chair for the FICPA’s University of Florida Accounting Conference, and committee member of other various FICPA committees. He is also a graduate of Leadership St. Pete class of 2005, Chair of the Executive Committee for LSP class of 2009, and former board member of Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association.
Rich is a native Floridian and currently resides in Clearwater with his wife and three children. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as a variety of outdoor activities.
